About Tallica Maddox Events
Designing Events with Purpose!I’m Tallica Maddox, a live event designer and production professional specialising in sound engineering, lighting design, event management and immersive experiences.
My passion has always been creating environments that make people feel something.
Whether that’s through carefully crafted lighting, immersive soundscapes or seamless event production, I believe every technical decision should enhance the audience’s experience.
After beginning my career in education, where I developed extensive experience teaching music, media and production arts, I transitioned into the live events industry to purse my passion for designing memorable experiences.
Today I combine creative thinking with technical expertise to deliver productions that are engaging, reliable and professionally executed.
My ApproachEvery event is different.
Rather than applying the same solution to every project, I work collaboratively with clients to understand their vision, audience and objectives before designing a production that brings those ideas to life.
I enjoy solving creative challenges and finding ways to use sound, lighting and technical production to tell stories that connect with people.
Experience
I have worked across a wide variety of live events including:
-
I have worked on a variety of theatre productions in both sound and lighting roles, supporting everything from rehearsals and technical preparation through to live performances. My experience includes programming and operating lighting, mixing live audio, managing playback, and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure every performance runs smoothly. I enjoy using technical production to enhance storytelling while working closely with directors, performers and production teams.
-
My festival experience has seen me working in fast-paced live environments where teamwork, flexibility and problem-solving are essential. I have supported production teams across multiple festivals, helping to deliver live events safely and efficiently while adapting quickly to changing schedules, technical challenges and the demands of large-scale outdoor events.
-
I have provided technical support for corporate events, delivering professional sound and lighting for conferences, presentations, networking events and awards evenings. My role has included setting up and operating technical equipment, ensuring presenters are supported, and maintaining a polished production that allows clients to focus on their event with confidence.
-
Live music has been a key part of my career, working on performances ranging from local artists and theatre productions to larger live events. My experience includes front of house mixing, stage set up, microphone placement, monitor systems, playback, sound checks and supporting performers throughout live shows to achieve the best possible sound for every audience.
-
Immersive design is one of my greatest passions. Through my Master’s in Live Event Design, I have designed and produced original immersive installations that combine sound, lighting and spatial storytelling to create meaningful audience experiences. Projects such as The Journey Home, The System Knows Best, and The Invisible String demonstrate my ability to develop creative concepts from initial idea through technical design, programming and live delivery.
-
before moving into the live events industry full-time, I spent several years teaching Music, Media and Production Arts. Alongside teaching, I organised showcases, concerts and performances, giving me valuable experience in event planning, production management, technical operation and leading teams while developing creative projects with students.
-
Working on touring productions has given me experience adapting quickly to different venues, equipment and production requirements. I understand the importance of efficient load-ins, careful planning and maintaining consistent production standards while working within tight schedules and alongside wider production teams.
-
I have supported a range of community events, local performances and public events, providing technical expertise to help create engaging experiences for audiences. These projects have strengthened my ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, organisers and performers while delivering professional production values regardless of the size of the event.
